Cross Creek To Coal Mine Park - Level 1
This route climbs from the Rio Grande valley foothills into the high country of the San Juan Mountains in southern Colorado. It follows forest roads through aspen and conifer stands, with open parks and long views along the way.
It makes a good day drive for anyone who wants to get into the mountains without technical driving. Expect a mix of forest and ranch country, with changing scenery as the road gains elevation.
