Heber Mountain Road - Level 3
Heber Mountain Road climbs into the high country above Heber Valley in the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest area of Wasatch County, Utah. The route follows forest roads through the mountains east of the Wasatch Front, with changing views as it gains and loses height.
It makes a good half-day outing for drivers who want a backcountry road close to the Heber City and Park City area.

This trail is rated Moderate (level 3), best suited to a high clearance 4x4. Expect a stock vehicle with good ground clearance, 4WD and off-road tires to manage it. The surface can be uneven and rutted, with loose rocks and possibly sandy washes. Obstacles are generally under 12 inches, such as ledges, short steep grades or small drops, and any water crossings should be less than a foot deep. Mud holes are possible. The road is typically one vehicle wide with places to pass. The driver's log has no specific obstacles called out.
