Best suited for a high clearance 4x4

This trail is rated Level 3, Moderate, which is best suited to a high clearance 4x4. Expect a stock vehicle with good ground clearance, 4WD and off-road tires to handle it. The surface is typically uneven and rutted dirt with loose rock and sandy washes. Ledges, drops and short steep climbs up to about 12 inches are possible, and careful tire placement may be needed in places. Any water crossings should be less than a foot deep, and mud holes are possible after rain. The road is generally one vehicle wide with places to pass. The driver's log did not call out any specific obstacle that needs special attention.

Terrain

The route runs over dirt and gravel roads that cross desert foothill terrain typical of the Cedar City area. Vegetation is likely sagebrush, juniper and pinyon, with sandy washes and some rocky stretches on the climbs. Surfaces can change quickly with recent weather. Dirt sections soften and rut after rain or snowmelt, so conditions vary with the season.
