Spring Canyon 1 - Level 3
Spring Canyon 1 is a short backcountry road in the Uinta Mountains of Summit County, Utah, east of Kamas. It lies within the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest and runs through high forested terrain typical of the western Uintas, with stands of conifer and aspen and open meadows.
The route works well as a quick side trip or as a link to other roads in the area. Expect quiet surroundings, especially on weekdays outside of hunting season.

This trail is rated Moderate (level 3), best suited to a high clearance 4x4. Expect stock vehicles with good ground clearance, 4WD and off-road tires to manage it. The surface is typically uneven or rutted dirt with loose rocks possible, and obstacles such as ledges, drops or short steep grades should stay under 12 inches. Any water crossings should be less than a foot deep, and mud holes are possible after rain. The road is usually one vehicle wide with places to pass.
